About the event

Next week, January 12, the BINGO Project, the Municipal Astronomical Observatory of Diadema and the Department of Education of Diadema will join the celebration of the 100th anniversary of the International Astronomy Union in the world event 100 Hours of Astronomy.
 
The event will feature lectures, cinema session, observation of the sun and observation of the night sky.
 
Where: Municipal Astronomical Observatory of Diadema
 
Admission: Free. There is no need to withdraw tickets before the event
 
Age rating: Free.

17:30 - sun observation

18:30 às 19:00 - Talk: The Universe Whispers - Elcio Abdalla

In this talk prof. Elcio Abdalla will tell you a bit about what the BINGO Project is and how the Radiotelescope will help us to understand a little more about the Universe.
 
Abdalla is a Professor at the Physics Institute of the University of São Paulo and coordinator of the BINGO Project.

19:00 às 20:00 - Lecture: We are dust of stars - Victor Randon

In this lecture, Victor will make some considerations from various perspectives on Life and methods used to identify life in the solar system and in the galaxy. Victor is an amateur astronomer and one of those responsible for the current management of the Diadema Municipal Astronomical Observatory.

8:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. - Observation of the night sky and presentation of the episode The strangest phenomena in the Cosmos from the documentary The Universe of the History Channel.
