Ricardo's research is mainly focused on operator algebras and their physical applications. More specifically, he is interested in algebraic quantum field theory, KMS states, Tomita-Takesaki modular theory, noncommutative Lp-spaces and related topics. He is also interested in foundations of quantum theory and philosophy of physics.
