Welcome
In the Thermophysical Properties and Functional Materials group, we study the fundamentals of thermophysical properties as a function of materials structure and composition.
We perform experiments of thermal transport, electrical transport, thermoelectric transport, specific heat under selected external parameters, as temperature, magnetic field, electric field, and strain.
We are particularly interested in complex oxides and topological insulators, which are materials with emerging properties very promising in terms of applications.
The group carries out research activities in the facilities of the Laboratory for Quantum Matter under Extreme Conditions.
