
Position Summary
The Department of Physics at the University of North Texas (UNT) invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the Assistant Professor level. The candidate’s research should be in the area of materials and devices for energy applications, with a preference for experimental programs. Candidates are expected to develop a vigorous and externally funded research program, teach effectively at the undergraduate and graduate levels, mentor student research, provide service to the department, university and community, and foster an equitable environment that promotes diversity and inclusion. Preference will be given to applicants whose research interests complements and integrates with ongoing departmental programs. An offer of employment for this position will be made dependent upon available funding.
Minimum Qualifications
Candidates must hold a Ph.D in physics or a closely related field, and demonstrate a commitment to teaching. A minimum of one year of postdoctoral experience, or equivalent professional experience, after the Ph.D.
Preferred Qualifications
Experimental research program. Applicants whose research interests complement and integrate with ongoing departmental programs.
