PROJETO: Advanced temperature sensors for investigation of topological surface states
The investigation of thermal transport in quantum materials approaching 2D-limit is a challenging task and requires the application of AC advanced techniques, as the so called 3-Omega that we are currently implementing at LQMEC. This technique works based on a thin film resistance deposited on the surface of the investigate sample and made of a material, whose temperature-dependent electrical resistance must have a reproducible behavior for the technique to be successfully employed. In this project, the IC fellow will prepare and characterize new thin films resistance to be employed as temperature sensor below 20K in the 3-Omega technique.
