The Department of Physics at Khalifa University of Science and Technology is interested in PhD students. Generous fellowships are available. Among the possible topics, there is a strong emphasis in attracting theory students to work on Quantum Transport and Optics in the Giga-Tera-Mir Range. The research involves the development of state of art simulators with applications to nonlinear optics in superlattices, novel GHz-THz-MIR sources and detectors, with applications to gas sensing and medical diagnostics by breath analysis.
