After your arrival, you will receive your USP ID Card (cartão USP). This card features your USP number and provides access to a range of facilities:
- Libraries;
- Restaurants (bandejão);
- Sports center (CEPE);
- Portuguese course;
- Student discounts: reduced prices for various cultural events such as theaters, concerts, and movies. It is usually as much as half the price of a normal ticket, which helps save a lot of money. These discounted rates are often referred to as "meia-entrada" (half-price).
e-Card: This app serves as an electronic substitute for the physical card, excluding the "meia-entrada" benefit. You can download the app through https://www.sti.usp.br/appusp/e-card-usp/.
How to sign up and log in with the e-Card app:
- Login: your USP number
- Senha/password: USP first access password
In case you don’t have a password, access https://id.usp.br/ (> entrar > primeiro acesso).
- Número USP = your USP number
- Email alternativo = your email (the same email address you used to register for your program)
Click "solicitar senha única". Create your password. Detailed guidance for creating your distinctive password is available in the FAQ section.
