Welcome to the first Brazilian-Swiss Workshop on Trends in Correlated Quantum Matter
2026, June 1st - 5th | University of São Paulo, Brazil.
--
Functional Quantum Materials are at the forefront of condensed matter research, posing exciting challenges that lie at the intersection of material science and many-body quantum physics—commonly referred to as correlated quantum matter. In response to these challenges, we are excited to launch the first Brazilian–Swiss Workshop on Trends in Correlated Quantum Matter.
This workshop will highlight emerging directions in quantum magnetism, strongly correlated electron systems, topological quantum phases, and beyond. It is designed to foster exchange between researchers from Brazil (especially São Paulo) and Switzerland/Europe, encouraging collaboration across experimental and theoretical frontiers.
Participants will have the opportunity to engage with a lineup of invited speakers and contribute through oral presentations, master classes, and an open poster session. We particularly welcome graduate students and early-career researchers to present their work and expand their networks within an international scientific community.
The workshop is generously supported by the São Paulo Research Foundation (FAPESP).
