I want to announce opening positions in Condensed Matter Theory both at the graduate and undergraduate levels. These positions are attached to the "Electronic Correlations in Quantum Materials: Inhomogeneities and Frustration" project, supported by FAPESP. The selected candidates will develop the projects at the Instituto de Física/USP under the supervision of Prof. Eric C. Andrade.
There are two undergraduate openings in the following topics:
a) Magnetization process in frustrated magnets;
b) Magnetic order in inhomogeneous systems;
And two Ph.D. positions in the following problems:
a) Stability of spin liquids in frustrated magnets;
b) Competition between local Fermi liquid formation and magnetic order in inhomogeneous systems.
Remuneração e benefícios:
Existem bolsas FAPESP para cada posição: 2 bolsas de IC e 2 bolsas de doutorado direto.

Applicants to the Ph.D. positions should also provide up to three references (full name and email address) and their latest EUF result. Candidates with a master's degree are not eligible for the Ph.D. positions. The positions will start in 2023.
