The professor has a solid academic background in Physics from the University of São Paulo, with a bachelor's degree in 1979, a master's degree in 1982, and a doctorate in 1988. She is currently an Associate Professor at the same institution. Her field of expertise is physics, focusing on optical properties and spectroscopy of condensed matter. She conducts research on semiconductor materials using optical and transport characterization techniques. Additionally, she is a co-author of four books in the Landolt-Börnstein series on data and functional relationships in semiconductor technology, published by Springer between 2008 and 2012.
