Recent studies seek to describe high-energy interactions using the language of Quantum Information Science. Entanglement entropy (EE), the quantity used to measure how much the system is entangled, applies to both perturbative and non-perturbative regimes and is used to connect the initial and final states of high-energy reactions. This talk introduces the theory behind the entanglement entropy calculation of the initial state in electron-proton scattering and the extrapolations made for more complex systems, i.e., proton-proton collisions. We are currently trying to move a step forward and find a suitable interpretation for EE in proton-nucleus collisions. This presentation aims insightful discussions for this search combining different experiences with quantum systems under extreme conditions.
