“Thermodynamics of QCD from the Gribov-Zwanziger scenario of confinement”

Abstract:
The infrared regime of QCD is still a great challenge for (semi-)analytical approaches, while being the stage for remarkable physical phenomena like confinement and dynamical chiral symmetry breaking. In this talk we briefly review the Gribov-Zwanziger scenario of confinement and build a novel nonperturbative quark model. Predictions for the thermodynamics of quark matter at finite temperature, density and external Abelian magnetic fields are then discussed.
