TRBS is based on Jochen Biersack's ideas of how to speed up TRIM to calculate backscattering more efficiently. Erich Steinbauer implemented it and modernized the handling of the input later. TRBS will be installed in the computer of the participants. The main advantage of TRBS is that it handles multiple scattering reasonably well. This is important whenever you analyze ions that have lost a major part of their energy in the target - in backscattering or implantation.
