Magneto-TDS and OPTP

A new setup of THz-TDS with extreme conditions was built including low temperature (1.5-300 K) and high magnetic fields (up to 7 T) in cryo-free equipment with THz optical access. Also, it includes an amplified laser for the generation of high-power THz pulses. The setup will allow experiments of optical pump / terahertz probe and magneto-terahertz spectroscopy.

This new instrumention is funded by the Research Grant from FAPESP - Thematic Project: "Research on Quantum Materials Involving Strong Magnetic Fields and Low Temperatures", Process No. 2021/12470-8.

The high-power amplified laser and the cryostat are already installed and operational. The implementation of the magneto-THz-TDS system was completed in November 2025.
