Research Lines

L1 - Didactic Resources for Teaching Science

Study of the nature, content and language of different media such as experiments, recreational activities, computers, videos, films, etc. and their role in the teaching-learning process.

 

L2 - History, Philosophy and Culture in Science Teaching

Investigations relating to historical, philosophical or sociological aspects of science (Physics, Chemistry and Biology), as well as the relationship between science and culture, and their implications for teaching Science (Physics, Chemistry and Biology) at different levels or approaches.

 

L3 - Science Teaching-Learning

Studies that address aspects of the teaching-learning process related to the construction of knowledge and conceptual formation in Physics, Chemistry and Biology. That is, dealing with students' conceptual conceptions, models, proposals and learning diagnoses; of evaluation and linguistic aspects in the conceptual formation or in the speeches of students and professors.

 

L4 - Teacher Training

Research on initial or continuing training of science teachers, for different levels of education, including teacher improvement programmes, evaluation of pedagogical practices and specific courses and programs for teaching or teaching degrees.

 

L5 - Scientific Dissemination and Non-Formal Education

Investigations that focus on the nature, content and language of materials, means and spaces for scientific dissemination and their insertion in school education, as well as analysis of materials, proposals, interventions and interactions in non-formal education spaces, such as museums and science centers.
