Polina Tereshchuk
Polina Tereshchuk obtained the Master degree at the Department of Nuclear Physics, the National University of Uzbekistan, in 2003 and started her PhD at the Institute of Nuclear Physics of Uzbekistan in 2005. Supported by a 10th Anniversary Fellowship Program Award (by Civilian Research and Development Foundation, USA), she conducted research in the Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering at Buffalo University (New York, USA) in 2006. She completed her PhD in the field of Condensed Matter Physics in the Laboratory of Semiconductor Electronics at the Institute of Nuclear Physics of Uzbekistan in 2010. She continued her research at the Freiburg Institute for Advanced Studies (Freiburg, Germany). At present, she has been working at the Institute of Chemistry at University of Sao Paulo on a scientific project supported by FAPESP. Her current research interests involve structure and molecular adsorption on transition metal surfaces and clusters.
