The Research Centre for Greenhouse Gas Innovation (RCGI) is one of the leading Engineering Research Centers with founder sponsors of Fapesp and Shell. The centre has a mission the advanced studies on the mitigation of greenhouse gases, investigating carbon capture, usage and storage (CCUS); the sustainable use of natural gas, biogas and hydrogen; gas in transportation; monitoring; and abatement of CO2 emissions. In this colloquia, we will give an overview of the innovative science and technology ideas across our research programs on Nature-Based Solutions, Carbon Capture and Utilisation, Bioenergy, Carbon Capture and Storage, Greenhouse gas and Advocacy and highlight the opportunities for Physics and entrepreneurship to tackling the global Challenges on energy transition and Technologies towards a low-carbon society.
