Renata Zukanovich Funchal

Her primary research centers on neutrino physics and its deep connections to physics beyond the Standard Model. She investigates neutrino oscillations, the origin of neutrino masses, and the ways in which new, undiscovered interactions might subtly alter neutrino behavior. Her work probes theoretical frameworks that extend the conventional three-neutrino picture, exploring possibilities such as non-standard interactions, exotic neutrino states, and broader BSM scenarios.
She develops detailed phenomenological predictions—identifying the experimental signatures that would reveal these new effects—thereby providing guidance for current and future neutrino experiments and helping interpret their results.
