Paulo holds a Bachelor's degree in Physics from the University of São Paulo (1986), a Master's degree in Physics from the University of São Paulo (1989) and a PhD in Physics from Syracuse University (1994). He is currently an associate professor at the University of São Paulo. He has experience in Physics, with an emphasis on General Particle and Field Theory, working mainly on the following topics: non-commutative geometry and topological field theories.
