Autumn Meeting of SBF: FMT/IFUSP Student Awarded for Research Excellence

Fernanda Lopes da Costa

We are proud to announce that during the Autumn Meeting of the Brazilian Society of Physics (SBF), held from May 18 to 22 in Belém do Pará, our student Fernanda Lopes da Costa was awarded the best poster prize in the Semiconductors area.

Fernanda, a bachelor's student in physics at the Institute of Physics of the University of São Paulo (IFUSP) and a PUB-Research fellow, developed her work under the guidance of Prof. Felix G. G. Hernandez from the Department of Materials Physics and Mechanics (DFMT).

The study, titled "Zinc Oxide as an Antireflection Coating in the Terahertz Range," was a collaboration between Fernanda, Nícolas M. Kawahala, Márcio P. F. de Godoy, and Felix G. G. Hernandez. This work was conducted in the group led by Prof. Felix, with samples produced by Prof. Márcio Godoy at UFSCar.
