DFMT Students Awarded at IFUSP's "Prêmios da Pós 2026"
The Department of Materials and Mechanics Physics (DFMT/IFUSP) congratulates its students awarded at the 2026 edition of "Prêmios da Pós," an initiative of the Graduate Program of the Institute of Physics at USP.
The DFMT/IFUSP had five students awarded at the 2026 edition of "Prêmios da Pós", an initiative of the Graduate Program of the Institute of Physics at USP that recognizes the best theses, dissertations, and highlights in research, innovation, and internationalization.
In the Best Doctoral Thesis category, the award went to Pamela Costa Carvalho, advised by Prof. Dr. Helena Maria Petrilli; in the Best Master's Dissertation category, the winner was Eduardo Destefani Stefanato, advised by Prof. Dr. Félix Guillermo González Hernández.
The department also had two highlights: Lauro Barreto Braz, advised by Prof. Dr. Luis Gregorio Godoy de Vasconcellos Dias da Silva, received the International Event Participation Highlight, and Gabriel Xavier Pereira, advised by Prof. Dr. Gustavo Martini Dalpian, earned an Honorable Mention in the Student Research Highlight category. Completing the list, Gabriel Figueiredo de Freitas, advised by Prof. Dr. Félix Guillermo González Hernández, was awarded in the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Highlight category.
The award ceremony will take place on October 22, 2026, from 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., at the Abrahão de Moraes Auditorium at IFUSP, with online streaming on YouTube.
