Nome do palestrante:
Elizabeth Cavicchi - MIT Edgerton Center, USA
Resumo:
Elizabeth Cavicchi and some of her students will present and talk about their teaching experiences and research. After that, they will invite USP students to engage in one activity (10 minutes or so) in their own spaces. To prepare for this activity, each student should have two glasses (clear cups that you can see through), water, and two soda straws (or two pencils or two bamboo sticks). Finally, one or two MIT students will invite attendees to discuss the activity. Afterward, Akshay Agarwal will share an extensive teaching experiment that he did, beginning with that activity and everything that it grew into.
The eight-year-old girl of the MIT group, Giulia, and one student, Beckett, might share next about their explorations and activities. Few other members of the group may share their projects too.
