Physics Institute's PhD Student Wins Award at the XXIII SBPMat Meeting
It is with great pride that we announce that our PhD student, Gabriel Pereira, has been recognized at the XXIII Meeting of the Brazilian Society for Research in Materials (SBPMat), held this month.
Gabriel won the award for best poster in the Computational Materials category with his innovative work on the stability of two-dimensional halide perovskites.
The award-winning study, entitled "Halide perovskites: a study on the mechanical and thermodynamic stability of these emergent materials", was conducted under the guidance of Prof. Dr. Gustavo Dalpian. This work already represents a significant breakthrough in his first year of research.
Congratulations, Gabriel, on this remarkable achievement and for bringing the name of the Physics Institute to the podium! We are confident this is just the beginning of many accomplishments.
