
Graduated in Physics from the University of São Paulo (1966); master's degree in Physics from the University of São Paulo (1968), Ph.D. in Physics from São Paulo State University Júlio de Mesquita Filho (1973), and Habilitation (Livre-docente) from the University of São Paulo (1981). Postgraduate studies at the University of Illinois, Chicago (1978). Full Professor at the University of São Paulo (2011). Collaboration with the High Magnetic Field Laboratory in Los Alamos. Experience in the field of Experimental Physics, with an emphasis on Condensed Matter Physics, focusing mainly on the following topics: magnetism, phase transitions, Bose-Einstein condensation of magnons, and low-dimensional magnetic systems. Currently, Senior Professor at the University of São Paulo.
