He holds a PhD in Physics from the University of São Paulo (1998). He is currently an Associate Professor at the University of São Paulo. He conducts research in the area of low-dimensional semiconductor heterostructures that serve as the basis for manufacturing devices. He has ten years' experience working in the semiconductor industry with MEMS/MOEMS micro-fabrication techniques. He works in the area of Experimental Condensed Matter Physics on the following topics: electrical transport, interaction of charge carriers in quantum dots and quantum wells with external fields.
