PhD Professor at USP's Institute of Physics, he was an adjunct professor at UFRJ's Institute of Physics from 2017 to 2023, where he also coordinated the Graduate Program in Physics Teaching from 2020 to 2022. Since 2018, he has been coordinating the course Introduction to Physical Sciences at CEDERJ. He was an adjunct professor at UERJ from 2015 to 2017. He holds a bachelor's, master's (2009) and doctorate (2013) from UFRJ, with a sandwich doctorate and post-doctorate at Princeton University. His research focuses on the interaction of light with matter, developing nanostructured devices and quantum Bragg mirror photodetectors.
