Holds a bachelor's degree in Physics from the Federal University of Minas Gerais (1996), a master's degree in Physics from the Federal University of Minas Gerais (1998), and a Ph.D. in Physics from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (2002). Currently, he is an associate professor (MS-5.2) at the University of São Paulo. He has experience in the field of Physics, with an emphasis on Strongly Correlated Electron Systems: Magnetic, Thermal, and Electrical Properties, working primarily on the following topics: Manganites, Molecular Magnets, and Geometrically Frustrated Pyrochlores.
