Graduated in Physics from the Universidad Nacional de Córdoba in 1989, with a Ph.D. from the University of São Paulo in 1998. He has been a Professor at the Institute of Physics at USP since 2004 and an Associate Professor since 2014. His expertise is in Solid State Physics, focusing on the magnetic properties of nanostructured materials. He conducts experimental studies and computational modeling of low-dimensional magnetic systems, such as nanoparticles, nanowires, and thin films. His research includes the analysis of mesoscale phenomena governed by magnetic interactions, such as magnetic hysteresis, exchange-bias, and magnetotransport, as well as the application of FORC analysis in hysteretic systems and studies of hybrid ferromagnet/superconductor systems.
