IFUSP/FMT Master's Student Receives Best Poster Award
Presentation of work by the GCTI-THz group at IFUSP receives distinction at Optics and Photonics event.

Eduardo Destefani Stefanato, a master's student at IFUSP under the supervision of Prof. Felix Hernandez, won 1st place in the Best Poster category for his presentation titled 'Generation of Terahertz by Photoconductive Antennas and Femtosecond Laser for THz-TDS' at the Photonics School UFPR/UTFPR 2024.
The event, organized by the UTFPR Optica Student Chapter in collaboration with the UFPR OPTICA Student Chapter, featured lectures by renowned researchers in Optics and Photonics, laboratory visits, and presentations of innovative research in the area. It took place from February 19 to 23, 2024, at the Federal University of Paraná and the Federal University of Technology - Paraná, in Curitiba.
Stefanato is one of the authors of the work, along with Nicolas M. Kawahala (TT-V fellow) and researcher Felix Hernandez, coordinator of the Terahertz Science, Technology and Innovation Research Group GCTI-THz/USP at IFUSP.
