PhD and Postdoctoral Fellowships in Terahertz Spectroscopy at IFUSP

PhD and Postdoctoral Fellowships in Terahertz Spectroscopy

The Institute of Physics at the University of São Paulo (IFUSP) announces the selection process for one PhD fellowship and one postdoctoral fellowship, both focused on research in the area of terahertz spectroscopy applied to quantum materials. The project is coordinated by Prof. Felix Hernandez and has been approved through the joint USP–CNPEM fellowship program.

Project Highlights

  • Construction and commissioning of the new synchrotron light beamline TATU, which will utilize far-IR/THz radiation (3.0 to 9.0 THz) at the Sirius accelerator in its nanoscale experimental station at CNPEM.
  • Installation and operation of a time-domain spectroscopy system (0.1 to 6.0 THz) at IFUSP, operating under cryogenic conditions and magnetic fields.

How to Apply

Interested candidates must send the following documents to the contact email address:

  • A cover letter highlighting relevant experience for the project;
  • Academic transcript;
  • A link to the CV on the Plataforma Lattes and/or Google Scholar.
